President's Message
“Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision” – Muhammad Ali. I am quoting the legendry boxer as a tribute to his contribution to the sports of boxing. As a sports enthusiast and especially boxing, I feel a sense of fulfillment when I see sportsperson achieve great heights but also feel disheartened when talent is not recognized and nurtured. As the president of Delhi Amateur Boxing Association (DABA), I have tried my best to give boxing a fillip and will continue to so to the best of my abilities. India is a vast country, diverse in its geography and culture and we have one of the highest populations of talented pool of youth. But sadly many of them do not get a chance to showcase their talent due to lack of guidance, encouragement and also lack of infrastructure. We at DABA are committed to bring boxing to its full glory so that we may have many world champions and make our country proud.
